Culture Shock!

Today I begin my journey! Being in the Netherlands has created a sort of culture shock that is exciting and frustrating. I enjoyed hearing the people speaking in Dutch but also found it hard to communicate with them when I needed important information or directions somewhere. It was also quite a surprise to me driving past down town Amsterdam and seeing Café's where you can smoke drugs freely. I am not very used to this so it will take some time for me to adjust. Something that I thought I might have troubles adapting to was the food. The food has a very large variety so it doesn't seem to bother me as I am not stuck with one type of food and no other options. I am also used to some of the foods because I have tried them from my own home and my Oma's cooking yummm!
